Hi lovely dancers,

Goodness me - summer is HERE!! ☀️

And thank goodness we have air conditioning in all of our venues, because those temperatures last week were something else! I think we were all very grateful for that cool air by the end of class 😅💛

It's been such a good month at Zumba with Steph - buzzing classes, great playlists and wonderfully upbeat mornings. Exactly what Zumba is all about!

I've just had a choreography session with my great friend Maria, so we are fully stocked with brand new dances for June and I can'tot wait to share them with you all 💃

And the big news… Learn with Steph is now officially open! 🎉 I'm looking for volunteers to test out the area and share their feedback - so if you fancy being one of the first to explore it, do let me know! More on that below…

📅 Dates for Your Diary

Great news - there are no closures in June! 🎉

After what feels like a never-ending run of Bank Holidays, we finally have a full, uninterrupted month of dancing with all classes open and running as usual - and I couldn't be happier about it!

One thing I do want to flag though - some classes are now mostly full, and I'd hate for you to miss out. So please do book early to secure your spot! You can cancel for a class credit as long as it's before the class starts, so there's no reason to hold off.

Don't be disappointed - get booked in! 💃

Monday: Plantation Hall, Heybridge 10am & 11am

Wednesday: Millennium Hall, Great Baddow 10am & 11am

Friday: Millennium Hall, Great Baddow 11.15am

💃 Choreography & What's Coming Up

Bank Holidays - wonderful for a day off, not so wonderful for learning new dances!!

😅 With so many interruptions over the last month, I've enjoyed reviewing older routines rather than introduce anything new. I shared Get Ready last month as I taught it right at the end of April into the beginning of May.

We have had so much fun revisiting some older dances though, and the props have been out!! 🎉 Always a sign of a good class!

I've just had a choreography session with my great friend Maria and we are fully stocked with new dances ready to roll out across June - so watch this space 💃

🌟 Learn with Steph

It's here… Learn with Steph is officially open!! 🎉

And this one is for everyone - it doesn't matter whether you're brand new to my classes or have been dancing with me for years, there is something in here for you! From step names and techniques broken down nice and clearly, to a stretching section I'd recommend every single one of you watches at least once 💛

Each month I'll be introducing a Step of the Month - a move that's been cropping up in class that's worth taking a little extra time to get right.

This month it's the Jazz Box 🕺

If you've been coming to class lately, you'll have noticed this one popping up in quite a few of our routines - and if you're not quite sure what your feet are supposed to be doing, you are not alone!! Take a watch of the video below and give it a little practice at home - you'll be nailing it in no time!

🏃 ParkWalk 

May's ParkWalk was a lovely one! Six of us met at the Prom on what turned out to be an absolutely perfect day ☀️ We completed a double loop together - with 5 of us finishing in around 54 minutes… and a PB for Helen who decided she'd quite like to run it again!! Brilliant job Helen!

🎭 Zumba Socials – Great British Bake Off The Musical!

If you haven't already grabbed your spot, there are still spaces available in our group booking - and I'd love for as many of you to join me as possible! 💛

The Witham Operatic Society never disappoints - brilliant entertainment, fantastic atmosphere and always incredible value. Those of you who have been before will know exactly what I mean!

📅 Saturday 31st October - Matinee performance

🎟️ Tickets approximately £17.50

We may also look at organising lunch beforehand depending on who's coming - so watch this space on that one!

I'll be backstage on props all week, but I will absolutely be there for the matinee and I cannot wait to share it with you all 💃

June - I have been waiting for you!! 🎉 I am so looking forward to a full month of dancing and smiles - whether you're a regular or joining us for the first time, I cannot wait to share the dance floor with you all 💛

It's going to be a brilliant month and I am genuinely excited for everything ahead… especially as we have the air con to keep us all cool while we shake it!! ☀️😄
